Humanscale (Freedom Chair)

Upholstery of the Freedom Chair is integral to the manufacture of this award winning ergonomic product. The cushions of this chair are manufactured similarly to molded applications for bicycle seats or sneakers. Therefore, the textile was conceived as a form and was designed to participate in an industrial vacuum mold manufacturing process. The result is three stunning four-way stretch textiles: "Neptune", ideal for healthcare or lab environments; "Vellum", adapted from heavy-duty mountain climbing equipment; and "Perforated Ultrasuede", a reflective silver fabric made of resin and glass laminated to punctured ultrasuede.
